4+ Years of Progress
University Established — Thal University Bhakkar was established in February 2022 under an Act of the Provincial Assembly of Punjab, bringing public sector higher education to the Thal Desert region.
First Academic Session — The university opened its doors to its first cohort of students, launching its initial departments on University Road, Bhakkar.
HEC Recognition — Thal University Bhakkar gained recognition from the Higher Education Commission, affirming that its programmes meet national academic standards.
Growth Across Faculties — Academic offerings expanded to 18 departments across five faculties: Computing, Sciences, Management & Administrative Sciences, Arts & Humanities, and Social Sciences.
Founding Member of the I.S.L.A.H. Consortium — TU joined the University of Kamalia, Ghazi University Dera Ghazi Khan, University of Education Lahore, and Government College University Lahore as a founding member of the I.S.L.A.H. Consortium.
